Niobium Nickel Alloy

Description

Product Details

1. Standard: Q/TY002-2018
Composition Ratio, Grade: NbNi-1, NbNi-2, or as per customer requirements.

2. Product Characteristics: High temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, toughness.

3. Production Process: Alloying melting in a horizontal electron beam furnace.

4. Product Application: Nickel-niobium master alloy. Primarily addresses issues such as the high melting point (making it difficult to melt) and high density (prone to severe segregation) when adding metallic niobium to nickel-based superalloys. It is a special alloy used to modify alloy properties, functioning as an additive functional material. Nickel-based alloys are a class of alloys that exhibit high strength at temperatures of 650–1000°C along with certain comprehensive properties like oxidation and corrosion resistance. Nb can enhance the strength and hardness of nickel-based alloys while also improving their ductility and toughness. Using vacuum niobium-nickel alloy instead of metallic niobium bars for smelting and casting superalloys not only reduces the nitrogen and oxygen content in the cast superalloy but also achieves a good cost reduction effect. The melting point of vacuum nickel-niobium alloy is only 1380°C, whereas the melting point of niobium bars is as high as 2497°C.
